Culinary:	Cheap crap that reminds me of my childhood - Monster Munch, Pot Noodles, hot dogs in sliced white with ketchup, tinned fruit in condensed milk etc	I don't have to eat pan fried artichoke infused in truffle oil and balsamic vinegar all the time.
Literary:	Bill Bryson	Bryson is for the avg. Daily Express reader, but I think he's funny, fairly erudite and his Big Book of Science for BA graduates was entertaining, which is more than you can say for A Brief History of Time.
Audiovisual:	American teen high school TV shows with a dark side	The ritualism of dating and the prom and graduation (all that stuff we UK-ers don't have) has always fascinated me.
Musical:	80s white boy soul	White people have always wanted to be black - without the poverty & prejudice, natch.
Celebrity:	Strictly Come Dancing	It's got frocks, moves, spangles, campness to the nth degree and tearful D-listers telling us what an emotional journey it's been.
