Dave#1 and Jo come round and we do the now traditional Walthamstow-and-Hackney marshes tour, over the marina, past where AV Roe did his first flight, under the 5 ft bridge, past the sewage incinerator, over the reed beds where the magic fish have unfortunately been covered to the concrete stone circle and the Princess of Wales pub, over the weir and past a wild fig tree and autumn leaves to the Anchor and Hope for a riverside drink where a man who has been drinking since Friday makes several attempts to ride a bike, none of which are successful.

Back to ours for cous-cous, white burgundy, rum flavoured whisky and a lot of washing up.
