I spend hours trying to look my best, but I still meet you just before I wash my hair
There's something pretty sexy about a man saying: "Take me", or at least I think so (I presume the title is a reference to the Squeeze song of the same name). After the heartbreak of Bewitched, this deals with pretty much the same stuff but in a much more upbeat way.
The lyrics are Gedge at his most romantic:
"It's like a panic and a rushing sound in my head - "
"Oh won't you put that down - TAKE ME! I'm yours!"
"Warm hands and the things you say: you get lovelier every day."
