2012 - October

In October we went to Bologna, which I loved, made me finally "get" Italy. In London, I took a cable car across the Thames.
TV I didn't channel hop through
Breaking Bad. The new Wire, i.e. Guardianista heaven. You could say that it's about the death of the American dream (part 104), or the failure of the health care system or the failure of the war on drugs, or the stultifying nature of the suburbs (seriously, Albuquerque looks appalling and this is from someone who grew up in Doncaster), but I thought it was more about how men need, or rather think they need a life outside of the home, even if their hobby involves homicide and grand larceny. And is pre-chemo Walt deliberately styled to look like Flanders?
Books I didn't skip through
Lee Rourke - The Canal
Kazuo Ishiguro - Nocturnes
