There's more to life than books, y'know #5
May. 4th, 2016 09:00 pmI've finished Listen Reuben Fontanez, and I haven't reviewed it as I didn't quite know what to make of it. It felt like it could have been great, had it been better.
Book number 50 is The Uses Of Literacy, another book I returned unread to the library. What I know about Richard Hoggart is that he basically invented Cultural Studies, defended Lady Chatterley and her lover, and fathered Simon Hoggart who spent a lot of time moaning about Virgin Trains and compiling Round Robin letters. What I know of the book, it's basically: Music-halls good, ITV bad.
