It has come to my attention that one hand catching, staunch opening batsman and stand-in-for-a-stand-in England Cricket CaptainAndrew Strauss resembles an older version of baby snatching, sister loving, lattè drinking Duncan Kane from Veronica Mars (aka Teddy Dunn). The problem with this knowledge is that I have absolutely no-one to tell it to. The crossover interest of English cricket and American teen noir drama is pretty minute. If I drew a Venn diagram there would be very few people in the middle circle. If I told my dad, he would say: “Veronica Mars? Is that one of your indie bands?” If I told my American friend Matthew, who turned me onto VM in the first place, he would say: “What is cricket?”
