The worst-named band in the world cover one of the greatest songs. OK, nothing's ever gonna live up to Darlene Love's Otis-esque pleading tinsel-shimmered song, but whereas Love' s version is all longing, DCfC's is stark and desperate; a suicide note for a blameless lover.
I wish I were called Darlene Love. But on me, it'd just sound like a stripper name.
