Morning scene in Highbury Fields: a streaky bacon ‘n’ blue sky, khaki trees and muted grass, the unreal green of the plastic building boards on Highbury Crescent, and all of a sudden, 50 seagulls rise as one white sheet, swoop once around the park and then settle back down to take cover in the overgrown common.
