The London Train has reached its destination. I haven't written a review, but after reading a domestic drama, an autobiog and a detective story, it was nice to read a slower paced lit-fic. The first half, featuring an out-of-touch-with-his-feelings male protag reminded me of The Lighthouse by Alison Moore, and also Disgrace, although the book is set in a totally different milieu.
Up next is The Report by Jessica Francis Kane. It's a fictionalised account of the 1943 Bethnal Green tube station disaster, which nowadays has its own monument, but was hushed up at the time. It'll be nice to be in the past for a while after reading only about the 21st century for the last few books.
