The Girl On The Train has departed. Review (spoiler: I loved it). Next up is Skating To Antarctica by Jenny Diski. I've only read one other book by Diski (although I've read everything she's written in the LRB) and that too was a travelogue (her fiction doesn't really appeal), so I'm looking forward to this wintry tale (although it's actually summer in the Antarctic right now).

Date: 2016-01-21 02:09 pm (UTC)It's better than Gone Girl (IMO), because it seems more based on reality: there was a point in GG when I felt it was getting a bit silly. I think you'd like it.
Why no Xmas In Brazil update???? :-)
